Clinical Staff:Chris Harper, CPLC
As a Primary Therapist, Chris Harper brings to ARC a wealth of life experience within the world of addiction and recovery. She is the mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and niece of either alcoholics or addicts and herself, has over twelve years sober as a recovering alcoholic. In addition to her current role working with the newly sober and insightfully supporting their quest for a lifestyle of recovery, Chris serves as a Recovery Life Coach supporting families and loved ones of the chemically dependent and has experienced the benefits of the principles she teaches with now both a niece and a son living in successful recovery.
Chris works with the families here at ARC and understands how, in attempting to support their loved ones; education, principles and concepts often viewed as, “counter-culture,” or “counter-intuitive” in today’s environment, are desperately needed. Chris also brings to ARC her experience with Equine Facilitated Learning and Coaching and serves the clients weekly through equine therapy.
Chris has served voluntarily for five years as a facilitator for PAL Group, a weekly support group for Parents of Addicted Loved Ones. She enjoys time with her three adult sons, daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, hiking AZ’s pristine trails, sober fun with friends and BRAVO TV!!
